Cappuccino by SylvestermouseAre you searching for a great way to make your own Lattes and Cappuccinos at home?  At Koffee Kingdom, we have the perfect solution, The Keurig Rivo Cappuccino & Latte Brewing System!

My husband and daughter both love cappuccino and lattes.  They frequently send me photos of their cappuccino when they are dining out.  They think they are so funny!  They believe I am sitting at home drooling for their special treat.  What they don’t realize is that I am savoring my own special brew prepared at home with our Keurig Rivo Brewing System.

The Gift of A Keurig Rivo Cappuccino & Latte Brewing System

Our daughter gave her dad a Keurig Rivo Cappuccino & Latte Coffee Maker Brewing System for Father’s Day .  Even though it was a gift specially selected for him, the rest of the family is allowed to use it too.   Last Christmas, it was the single most used small kitchen appliance used.  Our daughter and son-in-law took turns being our barista for the day.  The brewing system didn’t get a rest all day and several of our guests said they were going home to order they own Keurig Rivo immediately.

How to Make a Cappuccino or Latte with the Keurig Rivo Brewing System

The photo above is perfect for showing how the brewing system works.  On the left side, you can see the water reservoir filled with water.  In the center, you can see the prepared Expresso and on the right side, you can see the frothing pitcher filled with milk.  On the top of the brewing system, you can see the control panel and directly behind the buttons, is the handle you life to insert the Rivo pod / pack.

  1. Keurig Rivo Brewing SystemPlace a mug on the beverage tray
  2. Lift the handle on the top and insert a Rivo pod
  3. Lower the handle and select the Expresso size on the control panel
  4. The Brewer will beep when the Expresso is ready (approx. 1 minute)
  5. Add cold milk to the Frothing Pitcher, up to the fill line
  6. Select your preferred frothing mode (cappuccino, latte or cold froth setting)
  7. When you hear the beep, the froth is ready.
  8. Combine the Expresso and the froth milk for a delicious cappuccino or latte!

The Difference Between a Cappuccino and a Latte

Simple stated, the difference between a cappuccino and a latte is the amount of steamed milk added to your Expresso coffee.

A latte has more steamed milk than a cappuccino.

The Keurig Rivo Cappuccino & Latte Brewing System makes it really easy for all of us!

Specifically on the Keurig Rivo:

The same amount of milk is poured into the pitcher.  You select the froth button on the top to determine the amount of steamed milk vs. froth.

  • Cappuccino Froth – creates more foam and less steamed milk
  • Latte Froth – creates less foam and more steamed milk

Rivo Pods

The pods are miniature k-cups.  Like any of the Keurig k-cups, there is a variety of Rivo pods, or packs,  available.  As you can probably guess by their names, I have placed them in order from left to right according to their strength.

Most of our guest opt for the in between, but I personally prefer the Delicato.

  1. This looks like a great coffee maker. We have a collection of four Keurig and Tassimo machines in our home and I don’t even drink coffee…none of them makes a latte.
