Many of us prefer a smooth blend if we are going to be drinking coffee throughout the day. Even those of us who want to start our days with a strong cup of coffee to get us going, will often change to a smoother, milder blend of coffee for our second cup.
In this article, I will recommend mild blends of coffee that I have personally tried and drink on a regular basis. I do tend to switch them out from day to day simply because I enjoy a variety of coffee. Fortunately for me, times have changed considerably with the k-cups and the single cup coffee makers. Now, I really can have a different blend of coffee each time I refill my cup.
Most Highly Recommended Smooth Coffee Blends
Ironically, many of the truly mildest, smooth blend coffee k-cups are named “breakfast” blends. I say that is ironic simply because I don’t drink them for breakfast. They are not my first cup of coffee each morning, but they are my choices for my second cup and for the rest of the day.
These are the best smooth coffee blends. I have placed them in order by mildest starting on the left and moving across to the right.

The Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Smooth blend is by far the mildest cup of coffee. You could easily drink it any time of the day. Millstone Breakfast Blend is actually my first choice in the mild blends. It is just the right combination of taste for me without standing my hair on end. The Starbucks Breakfast Blend is a bit stronger in coffee taste and makes a superb cup of coffee.
I could highly recommend either of these coffee blends if you are looking for a smooth, mild cup of coffee.
