We have had our own Krups coffee grinder in our home for over 25 years and it still works perfectly. That is exactly why I would recommend the Krups coffee grinder for grinding your own coffee beans. It truly only takes a couple of seconds to grind coffee beans in the Krups grinder. You simply fill it with coffee beans, put the lid on the top and press down on the lid. It is a bit noisy since it is literally grinding the beans. However, that is not really a big deal since is only lasts a few seconds, unless someone is trying to sleep close by.
To clean the grinder, I simply wipe it clean with a paper towel. However, they do sell brushes made specifically for the purpose of cleaning a coffee grinder. Like all other electric appliances, you do not immerse it in water. Since I don’t use our grinder for anything other than coffee beans, I don’t even use dishwashing soap when cleaning.
Not only do we enjoy coffee made from fresh ground beans, but we love the smell of freshly ground coffee beans in our home. Truly, a great fragrance to inhale at the beginning of each day.
