How to Make Creamy Coffee Ghosts

Coffee Creamer Ghosts Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar

Other Supplies Needed

  • Metal or Freezer Safe Glass Mixing Bowl
  • Mixer with Beaters
  • Parchment Paper
  • Baking Tray
  • Small Ghost Cookie Cutter

Directions

Cutting Ghosts Shaped Creamer for CoffeePlace your mixing bowl and the beaters in the freezer for 30 minutes.  You will need them to be really cold before you start.

Prepare the baking tray by lining it with parchment paper.  Set aside.

Pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into your chilled mixing bowl.  Start beating your whipping cream on medium and slowly add the 2 T of sugar.  (like you do for meringue)  Beat until soft peaks form.  This will take approx. 10-15 min.

Spread the mixture on the prepared parchment paper lined tray about 1/2 inch thick and set in the freezer for 2 or more hours.  You will want it to be firm before you start cutting the ghosts.

After several hours, prepare a second baking tray with parchment paper for your cut ghosts. Remove the tray of whipping cream mixture from your freezer and cut your ghost shaped creamer with a ghost cookie cutter.  You will need to dip your cookie cutter in hot water  and dry it between cutting each ghost.

Set each cut ghost on the freshly prepared baking tray.  Once all of your ghosts are cut, set them in the freezer for a minimum of 30 minutes.   You can make them ahead and leave them overnight if desired.

For the Ghosts eyes:  I simply poked the eyes on the ghost with a toothpick.

Then serve!

We “perched” a ghost for the photo, but he would normally float flat in the coffee mug.

Recipe Yield

This recipe will make 10 – 12 of the larger ghosts, like the ones we made.  Or, you can make twice as many with the smaller cookie cutters.
